Welcome to The Derm Edit. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website www.thedermedit.in and the services offered by our clinic. By booking an appointment, making a payment, or using this website, you agree to these terms.

1. About us

The Derm Edit is a dermatology clinic in Chennai offering clinical, cosmetic and surgical dermatology along with wellness and weight-management services. All medical care is led by a Medical Council registered dermatologist.

2. Medical information, not medical advice

Content on this website — including articles, treatment descriptions and answers to common questions — is general information written for awareness and education. It is not a diagnosis, not a prescription and not a substitute for an in-person consultation. Treatment at The Derm Edit begins only after a personal consultation and assessment with our dermatologist.

3. Appointments and consultations

• Appointments may be booked by phone, WhatsApp, or through the booking options on this website.
• Tele-dermatology consultations are conducted by video and follow the Telemedicine Practice Guidelines applicable in India. Some conditions require an in-person visit, and our doctor may ask you to visit the clinic where appropriate.
• Please arrive on time. Late arrival may require rescheduling so that other patients are not delayed.

4. Payments

• Payments for consultations, treatments, sessions and plans may be made at the clinic or online through our secure payment partner (Razorpay). We do not store your card, UPI or banking details on our servers.
• Fees for services are communicated to you at the clinic or in writing before you pay. A receipt or invoice is provided for every payment.
• Cancellations and refunds are handled under our Cancellation and Refund Policy.

5. Treatment outcomes

Dermatology and aesthetic outcomes vary from person to person and depend on skin type, the condition being treated, adherence to aftercare and individual response. We follow evidence-based protocols and will always discuss realistic expectations, suitability, alternatives and possible side effects with you before treatment.

6. Your responsibilities

• Provide accurate and complete medical information, including allergies, current medication and past treatments.
• Follow the pre-care and after-care instructions given for your treatment.
• Inform us promptly of any concern after a procedure so we can review it.

7. Intellectual property

All content on this website — text, images, graphics and layout — belongs to The Derm Edit unless otherwise stated, and may not be copied or reused for commercial purposes without our written permission.

8. Limitation of liability

While we take care to keep the information on this website accurate and current, we make no warranty that the website will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent permitted by law, The Derm Edit is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of this website. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under applicable law as a patient or consumer.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute is subject to the jurisdiction of the courts at Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
